Shapiro Custom Homes has spent over 20 years remodeling, renovating and updating homes. Some of our projects are for previous Shapiro Custom Home clients, who now want a finished basement, to add a sunroom, to build a pool house and pool complex or a new detached garage. We have done numerous projects for repeat clients and we treasure being their builder of choice.

Many of our new clients love their neighborhood, schools, and commute to work, but their home no longer meets their needs. For these clients we have done small projects from remodeling and updating several baths and a laundry room, to enlarging the family room and remodeling the kitchen, to adding an in-law space over the garage, to popping off the roof and adding a 2nd floor, to whole house remodels. Over the years, these projects have varied in price between $75,000 and over $1.0 Million and we have designed nearly all of them in house.

We Understand

Remodeling a home, particularly, if you plan to stay in your home while the work is being done, requires skills that a regular home builder may not have. A custom remodeler understands and takes into consideration that a family, and often pets, are living in the home while the work is being done. Our team schedules the crews to minimize interference with the family; requires all materials and tools be neatly put away at the end of the day; prohibits loud music; and communicates regularly with the owners so that they know who to expect to see in their home during the day. These extra steps are not required by a home builder building in an unoccupied home. We understand that the excitement of finally getting your gourmet kitchen is quickly lost when you are stepping over materials, the project is delayed and you have eaten so many delivered pizza’s that the delivery boy now calls your home his home.
